Healthy and biodegradable water bottles created from seaweed. Water is available in several, natural flavors as well made through a process that promotes health (Ayurvedic process) This product addresses both health & environment.
Firstly, there is the environmental crisis, a great part of it coming from the excess usage of plastic. A lot it being single-usage plastic and non-biodegradable has created a mounting garbage crisis with plastic waste on land, air and water. Sweed water bottles are biodegradable and therefore addresses the environmental crisis.. Secondly, research has found micro plastics in the human blood stream. Again, because of the usage of plastic materials to hold food and water has created a health crisis. Sweed water bottles made from seaweed addresses this problem as well.
Advantage over existing plastic water bottles:
Sweed water bottles are both biodegradable and healthy to hold drinking water. It benefits both planet Earth at large and people. The addition of drinking water in a variety of natural flavours like mint, cucmber, lychee etc make it more appealing. These would be prepared using sundried powders in the Ayurvedic way and neither would it need preservatives nor would it lose its nutritional value. In fact, as per Ayurveda, its potential nutritive properties get amplified this way. All the consumers of bottled water would switch over to buy these plant based bottles.
Our first step would be to search for investors which would be the target in 2022. Once we acquire the funds they would be used in the first 2 years for R & D. Sweed will then recruit talent in the sphere of biotechnology and set up a lab where this plant based bottle and the flavor powders made from natural ingredients using Ayurvedic process would be developed. In the third year, the funds would be used to setup a large plant with the necessary materials and manpower.
Cost & Revenue:
We will charge the exactly same price as bottled water available in plastic bottles. So it is a question of change of habit for the consumers. We will initiate this through social media influencers and travel gurus by firstly getting them to believe in Sweed, use it and talk about it. Our marketing campaign would target the age group of 16 to 25 years. Sweed would be made available everywhere and target the consumers of bottled water like hotels, cafes, companies, people who love to travel etc. As business grows and more people make the habit change, we will introduce natural flavored water at a premium price. Our target is to get at least 5% of the bottled water users to switch in the first 2 years.
