Usually they try to increase the efficiency of wind turbines by improving the air flow around the blades, finding the most profitable modes of operation of the wind turbine, finding the best blade profiles, etc. In the proposed project, we are following an unusual path.
Power in rotating machines is the product of torque and angular velocity. Present day machines are low torque and high angular velocity machines. CHALASANI TURBINE is a very high torque and low angular velocity machine. Wheel and axle mechanical advantage is a well known concept.
