An ambulance is a vehicle which can transport medical patients to treatment and in some instances will also provide out-of-hospital medical care to the patient. Ambulances are used to respond to medical emergencies by the emergency medical services.
For this purpose, they are generally equipped with flashing warning lights and sirens. They can rapidly transport paramedics and other responders to the scene, carry equipment for administering emergency care and transport patients to hospital or other definitive care. Most ambulances use a design based on vans or pick-up trucks. Others take the form of motorcycles, cars, buses, aircraft and boats.
The main problems facing city ambulance is road congestion. If the road is too crowded, the ambulance will be late on delivering their patients to hospital for further treatment. This will be a matter of life and death.
This project solves this key problem. This project is about building an app that shows alternative route for drivers to make the road free for city ambulance when they are carrying patients to save life and it is integrated with GPS system and 911 responders. This means if there is an accident on location point “A”, someone will call 911 and the dispatcher allocates the ambulance from the location “B” to location “A”. At this moment the dispatcher know the location of point A which is the patient is located and location B which is the location of the ambulance or the hospital. Then the dispatcher order the app “Ambulance first” to make the route from “B” to “A” free. Then the app will show alternative routes to cars traveling between “A” and “B”. Also the app will show the direction or the route in which is less congested road. As a result the road will be less congested for the ambulance. This will save life big time. The app works by integrating it will the current car GPS system.
The solution is very realistic because I am proposing a method which is based on already existing way of transportation means and upgrade the city’s way of life. The software is not too high tech to be implemented, does not change the existing way of transportation and does not bring negative impact on the society and the environment.
The proposed solution is very sustainable, because once the system is well integrated with the car GPS system it will work perfect. This will help a modern city well organized and will help the mechanism to scale up in to arranging plan in worldwide.
