Inspired by: We started with providing best solar power system in remote locations like -40deg to +70deg Celsius including Offshore Unmanned Platforms of ONGC (Oil & Natural Gas Corporation) for their critical loads like Navigational Aids, Remote Telemetry SCADA/RTU, Fire & Gas Instrumentation , Motor Operated Valves etc. After working on Solar we realised that it requires a huge amount of space foot print with steel structures in marine environments of Offshore, with large cables and a huge battery banks of +20,000Ah for 7 days of back up which makes the whole cost of the project very high. Operational maintainance at these remote locations are also too costly and difficullt like Batteries doesnt have life expectancy of more than +10years and Solar PV Modules must be maintained regularly, Offshore having a practical problem of cable theftning by local nearby people. These things pushed us to think of a good reliable solution that can be remoteyl operate in these unmanned platform and doesnt include battery bank and after a struggle of one & half year we have come up with a solution TMSG-DC (Thermoelectric Module Static Generator DC Power) which a gas (LPG/NG) based generator doesn't have any battery bank and moving parts generates electricity 24 X 7 X 365 which makes it reliable of life expectancy of more than 25years. The product has been appreciated by ONGC, GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited) , EIL (Engineers India Limited) etc. which makes us confident to work more upon this. In offshore Unammaned Platform , if we save the space foot print by using new technology , it is welcoming by the end user keeping the costing same also. They have major issues with foot print. TMSG-DC has reduced remarkably as compared to Solar Power system. Same problem we have faced in INDIAN ARMY Siachen Base Camp in -30deg Celsius and 15000feet Altitude where remote power requirements are necessity and we recently installed & tested at this location successfully for their battery charging system , radio transmission , walky talky system , remote telecommunication and RTU/SCADA etc.
