In a world of rising energy consumption, the need to efficiently minimize and contain extended energy costs cannot be overemphasized. This has led the world to thoroughly investigate electricity consumption behaviour by continuously monitoring with the aid of electric meters, to extract information that can be used to accurately determine the energy consumed over a period of time,
ChIMES (Chemical Identification by Magneto-Elastic Sensing) is a passive chemical sensing technology that can detect a very broad range of substances. The technology consists of a sensing element and a separate electronic package; the two components can communicate wirelessly through a metallic or nonmetallic barrier. Configurations can be built for real-time or persistent readout, and,
On wind turbines VForce® patented blade morphing technology can generate an estimated 8-20% additional electricity generation (Lindenberg et al. 2008) by operating in low wind situations.
The technology is suitable for tapered blades and is of light weight construction.
HYPOL™ JM 5013 / JB 1009 is a two-component, water-based, catalyst-free polyurethane chemistry for comfort products. Manufacturers are challenged to deliver safety, comfort and sustainability in one single product. Conventional hydrophobic polyurethanes have superior mechanical performance but lack heat- moisture management and tend to emit VOC. Conversely, hydrophilic polyurethanes have poor mechanical performance but good heat,
This entry presents a novel technology that successfully, and inexpensively, converts bio-renewables into 93% to 100% bio based, high performance, long lasting lubricants. Oil feedstocks such as soy oil, canola oil and/or mixed methyl esters are added to powdered molybdenum disulfide which are processed following my patented technology (US Patent 8,211,329).
This innovation relates to the field of opposed piston internal combustion engines (OP-ICE) having two pistons in one cylinder configured to have facing heads. Specifically, this engine (herein “the Engine”) architecture shows the following features relative to a comparable design:
Compact size: The new architecture solves a size issue,
SOUND ENERGY HARVESTING
SOUND ENERGY:
We all know sound energy is a mechanical energy which travels in the form of a wave, a mechanical wave that is an oscillation of pressure which needs a medium to travel i.e. it could not travel through a vacuum as it needs a medium.
A semi-tokamak geometry as shown in the accompanying illustrations forms a current carrying magnetized plasma loop. The current is generated either by means of induction or DC biased electrodes or a combination of both.
When emergency patients arrive at a hospital there may not be sufficient staff to transfer the patient from the Gurney to the examination table.
By a simple redesign of the tops of the Gurney and the examining table, the “One Handed Patient Transfer” device could handle all the patient movement with ease, and simplify the emergency intake procedure.
Issue Addressed: Heavy commercial vehicles like trucks, lorries, earthmovers operate in their lifecycle in two modes corresponding to being empty (only curb weight acting) and loaded (curb weight plus the payload). Usually, the ratio of full load capacity to curb weight of these categories of vehicles ranges from 1.5 to 2.0. Therefore,
