Problem: It is estimated that speed is a factor in 1/3 of fatal vehicle accidents. It is my belief that thousands of lives could be saved every year by encouraging drivers to drive within the posted speed limit.
This device would complement current global positioning system (GPS) privately owned vehicle trackers which are sold to anyone who wants to map out a destination or is lost. The device would actually simultaneously transmit a GPS navigation broadcast signal to installed receptors along major highways and roads througout the U.S.
New Jersey has instituted a law in which vehicles must have snow and ice removed from the hood, roof, and truck areas. This law is extremely important to all motorists driving in winter weather conditions where snow or ice can fall from one vehicle and onto another causing damage to vehicles and/or loss of visibility leading to serious accidents.
The Vehicle Vector Wireless Network (VVWN) is an added option to current GPS navigation units. The VVWN inputs vector data from other VVWN units within its wireless network range, and transmits its own vector data to other vehicles within its range. The main purpose of the system is to calculate potential collisions between vehicles.
