Many houses burn to the ground by just a few embers that fall onto the roof. My design would resemble an oversized covering that would resemble a shower cap. The material would be metalized such that the embers could land without starting the roof on fire.
In Ocean Algal Afforestation (OAA), a macro-algae forest (such as kelp, but any biomass will work) is grown on the ocean surface. Carefully managed harvesting allows the forest to grow to support a complete natural ecosystem with diverse and edible sea life.
Oil Spill Containment Device
Safety and Security
Technical Abstract
Brief Description of Technology:
An underwater robot places a rubber bladder reinforced with nylon netting into the broken pipe and air is pumped in from a surface vessel, inflating the bladder and sealing off the oil flow.
The omni-IDE is a versatile, comprehensive electronic appliance that serves as a core platform for a wide range of embedded applications, hence the name "omni-IDE." Astute readers will recognize that this single design is suitable as a basis for a wide range of embedded applications.
This is an innovative keyboard design that can be operated one handed, left or right hand, or with both hands, by pressing only one or two of the ten buttons. There is one key for each finger but each finger can cross the 2mm divide and press two buttons.
Advances in microscopy have made single cell analysis an important approach in both the study of cell signaling pathways and in high content analysis used in drug development.
Power where you need it.
Our modern lifestyles constantly demand electricity. At the same time our electronic devices are becoming increasingly portable. The antiquated system of fixed power outlets limits our mobility, does not accept new technologies, and creates unsafe situations.
I invented a machine (#1 in Picture) that evolved into three different CNC machine configurations designed to permanently implant plastic optical fibers into any flexible materials including fabrics for apparel, vinyls, light plastics, coroplast, cardboard, gatorboard, etc.
Endoscopes are widely used for diagnosis in human internal organs, but conventional endoscopes can only collect surface information. Thus, biopsy is often needed. Newly-developed endoscopes that employ optical coherence and scanning micromirrors can be used to replace risky, painful and time-consuming biopsy,
To optimize a structure after a FEM analysis I think it needs to make a relaxing iteration of the mathematical array of equations first relaxing the length of the elements than the area of the section and returning to relaxing the length and the sections until the error between
