There are over 1 million hernia repairs annually in the United States, the majority of which are inguinal hernias (approximately 800,000). Our understanding of hernia pathophysiology has improved so we currently have moved away from the traditional tissue-based repairs towards open/laparoscopic/robotic tension free mesh-based repairs.
The major problem concerning the automobile industry is the need for the alternative fuel source with the present fuel source- fossil fuels depleting at a faster rate. Also the aim was to find an alternative fuel with minimum emission. We have developed a solution for this problem by using methanol as a fuel source for automobile.
This idea is inspired by MIT's small jumping robot cubes and the decades old technology used to orientate satellites in orbit.
