The equipment is foldable to be easy to carry. it must also allow the ground on scaffolding installation without the operator rises in height.

In printing manufacturing (Sheet Fed), maintenance is required to be done on printing rollers (40" to 65"). These presses are on average 4 to 6 ft. from the floor and rollers can be 20-60 lbs. ea. taking 3 men to do rollers in each unit. I watched this in progress and designed a pneumatic lift that would hold all rollers that would lift all to the working height and it now takes only 2 men and less lifting for roller removal and installation. Elastomeric thrust bearings comprise stacks of alternate rubber and metal layers, all bonded together and under compression from a normal load. Illustrated layers are greatly exaggerated in thickness, but are actually so thin (tenths of 1 mm) that they can't squeeze out from between equally thin metal layers. Each rubber layer allows a small parallel shifting movement due to its resilience, adding up to a total angle depending on the number of layers; e.g., +/-15 degrees. Puncture- healing thermoplastic resin carbon fiber reinforced composites towards more damage/impact tolerant systems

NASA Langley Research Center has developed carbon fiber reinforced composites with self-healing properties. The initiation and propagation of damage to carbon composites, such as in aircraft structural components, results in component failure. Typical structural repairs result in damaging practices, where material is ground away and holes are drilled to secure patches, which can act as new sites for damage. This technology exhibits effective self-repair that heals quickly following low to mid velocity impacts, while retaining structural integrity.
