At highway speeds, a large amount of energy is used to overcome aerodynamic drag. I believe we can make changes to our highways that can reduce that drag.
Currently one way to reduce drag is to drive slower. The force of aerodynamic drag goes up with the square of the vehicle’s speed, so driving slower reduces the drag. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, reducing the speed of trucks from 65 miles/hour to 60 miles per hour will reduce fuel consumption by 7%. (Not all that savings is from aerodynamic drag.)

Due to lack of cold storage facilities and packed food processing facilities in developing countries most of the vegetables and other crops get rotten within week of harvest. By drying the vegetables and crops they can be preserved for longer periods and the supply of vegetables and crops can be extended up to six month or longer.
This is an idea to improve conventional solar dryer efficiency by utilizing thermal storage capacity of Molten Salt so that drying of agriculture crops can take place at night and drying time gets reduced by 50 percent.

With Technology the solar cell's limits with todays latest advancements are the size of coverage for the power produced.
My idea is to layer the solar cells one on top of the next, separated by very thin transparent material such as a high quality plastic or plexiglass such that the bottom of the solar cell material is covered in a highly reflective material as well as the sides of the plexiglass all towards the inside.
