Ever wondered if computers can solve your health ailments? Yes, I propose a model to bring that into reality by taking advantage of analytics and networked doctors. This model calls for a care-for-society attitude from doctors to handle a few cases free-of-cost. However, it does necessitate them to completely abandon their regular practice. Just a few cases online everyday by everyone would serve the purpose.

Patients have to register first by providing basic details such as name, address and email. Once registered, the patients have access to key-in their symptoms and/or difficulties that they encounter in a separate window. Now, text and data mining is done on the information provided by the patients and all the required information is ...

Motivation
There are about 576 million people aged more than 65 in the world today. Of these, approximately 350 million have arthritis. For these people, the stresses that develop in their knees when rising from a seated position can be uncomfortably high. While there are several existing chairs designed to address this problem, most use electrical actuators or complex hydraulic systems. The objective of this project is to make a chair that does not require any external energy other than the weight and forces applied by the user. In this regard, the project focused exploiting the principle of compliant bi-modal bi-stability to design an affordable and easily producible chair.

Inspiration
Bi-Stability was observed in a lid that assumes two ...

In this we will enter a conductive polymer in the human body, which will be biologically suitable for our body. This polymer will take voltage from our body (DC Voltage). This conductive polymer will have a unique barcode. This will be a unique identity code for each human ...

Nebulization therapy is an efficient method of administering drugs which revolutionized the treatment of respiratory disorders such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The demand for efficient and controlled operation of the nebulization process with Microelectronics has driven to fundamental changes in nebulizer technologies. In this paper we designed a simple and effective technological solution that overcomes the many problems related to nebulizer system. The control circuit is designed and implemented for the jet type nebulizer.

AIR COMPRESSOR NEBULIZER UNIT
A compressor Nebulizer machine is a high air pressure, low noise machine which operates on the AC power source. Motor is used to compress the atmospheric air to vaporize the liquid medicine for inhalation. When the system is ...

This invention advocates the setting up of a global cloud computing network with websites designated as e-lab.gov to handle processing of laboratory ananlysis by interactive internet-linked interface (11,12,13) as shown in Figure 2 would be managed by the World Wide Web Corporation (3WC) and other service providers. A similar e-diagnostics.gov hub would handle processes relating to medical diagnosis of diseases and biochemical reactions.

Presently, a typical laboratory consists of a room or building where scientific equipment or chemicals are kept. Within the confines of the laboratory, scientists conduct tests, teach or perform experiments and treat illnesses.

The constant use of equipment and chemicals by scientists necessitate costly purchase, transportation and maintenance in order to provide fast-track, competitive and ...

In general, lower limb disabled people do their daily activities on wheelchairs. The disabled people encounter difficulties when they have to ascend or descend the stairs. For example:
• enter or exit buildings that have no ramps,
• go up or down in buildings that have no elevators or
• cross pedestrian bridges.

Therefore, this DESIGN aims to provide an alternative and enhance the quality of life for the lower limb disabled people by enabling the wheelchair to climb the stairs using a simple mechanical system with only one assistant to control the wheelchair at a reduced cost.

From the standard dimensions of the wheel chair and the stair case a new ...

It is estimated that about 10% of the population suffer from bruxism. This disease is a movement disorder of masticatory system that results in involuntary grinding of the teeth and the clenching of the jaw during sleep as well as wakefulness. Tooth clenching or grinding during sleep can result in abnormal wear patterns of the occlusal surface, fractures in the teeth, morning headaches and facial muscle pain. The most common method of bruxism management is based on minimizing the abrasion of tooth surfaces by wearing a bite-guard. There is no definitive clinical diagnostic method for assessing bruxism. Reliable, easy to use devices for long term continuous monitoring of bruxism are not available.

A wireless pressure sensing bite ...

Problem Statement:

Present methods of root canal (ENDODONTIC) treatment involves the use of drill bit to drill the teeth and broaches (files) to clean the decayed pulp. Many dental studies reveals the fact that the broaching drill bit breaks and settles inside the teeth during the operation. The drill bits are made of silicon carbide which is costly and the files are complicated in shape.

Proposed solution:

Instead of using silicon carbide drill bits, the abrasive air jet can be employed to drill the hole in the teeth. Also a Digital Image Processing unit is used to locate the decayed portion of the teeth. In addition to the broaches, saline jet (or) H2O2 jet is used to remove the ...

DrRho is a medical tele-presence robot under development at Vyas Labs. It provides a robotic base with human environment maneuverability and a set of robotic manipulators, together with telemedicine modalities of electronic stethoscope, blood pressure, temperature, ECG and pulse-oximetry. It also provides the doctors’ an intuitive vision system, as the robots eyes turn as the doctor moves his head. For collaborative examination and surgery, the robot carries a micro projector.

The robot may be deployed at locations such as hospital wards, doctor’s clinics, and other public places. It allows doctors to examine and interact with patients just as in a clinical setting. The doctor using the robot may be physically present anywhere on the globe.

The use cases include ...

The design relates to a novel dual modality system for performing thermal keratoplasty and in-vivo ocular A- scan ultrasonography using high frequency focused ultrasound for the treatment of presbiopic astigmatism and hyperopia by changing the shape of the human cornea.

The device consists of a hand-held cylindrical probe handle having 16 forward looking circular ring array HIFU transducers sitting on top of the probe, 8 rings arranged in a 6 mm radii circle and other 8 ring arrays arranged in 7.2 mm radii circle. The arrays comprising multiple Capacitive Micro-machined Ultrasonic Transducer cells (produced by micro-fabrication) will be firing ultrasound beams focused on the stromal layer (within the range of 100 – 500 microns thickness seeing from the top) ...
