Good roof and good heating/cooling system is inevitable for every house. Heating and cooling consumes lot of energy. Cost of energy is permanently increasing and fuel resources are limited so solar energy has to be used more extensively. Properly designed roof system can protect house against bad weather and harvest energy of environment for heating.
Problem: heat load increases and temperature uniformity decreases in the area of process openings for both indexing (Fig. 1) and continuous equipment (Fig. 2)
Causes: Equipment typically maintained with slight negative to contain process fumes and POC from direct fired heating systems.
Solution: Cross between non-recirculating and recirculating air curtain.

Very little has been done to improve the thermal efficiency of the internal combustion engine. My invention is a fish friendly hydro power system. Traditional hydro power use dams and rotating turbines to produce power. Both of these can have negative environmental impacts. My invention uses no blades or other rotating machinery. Instead the system takes advantage of the Venturi effect. The same principle that generates lift in aircraft wings.

The Problem:
Power companies often provide different rates based on time of day. Rates are often the lowest during the night and early morning. But this is not always convenient for most people, such as doing the laundry at 1AM. How to take advantage of this situation?
