My Concept is a Hybrid Sailboat/Submersible that uses a combination of traditional sail technology, combined with the biologically inspired swimming of large animals such as whales and fish. Whether it's a speedboat or a cargo ship, almost all marine transportation uses propellers as the main means of propulsion. While they are remarkable efficient,
ValueGauge presents a paradigm shift in vehicle fuel measurement and driver behavior. ValueGauge enables operators to drive in ways that yield the most Value for their time.
The traditional measure of vehicle fuel consumption is miles per gallon (MPG).
In recent decades, cardiac phantoms have proven instrumental in empowering researchers and physicians to develop improved myocardium imaging protocols. Fostering innovation via their reproducibility, durability, and ability to conveniently map various disease pathologies, phantoms are able to bypass problems inherent in using natural hearts for protocol development (legal limitations, transportation, longevity, etc.).
Problem Statement:
Singapore continues to see a rise in the number of elderly people with the anticipated "silver tsunami" by year 2030, when one in five people here will be aged 65 years and above. As these people age, unfortunately they will be more likely to suffer from chronic diseases and require continuous treatment.
Mobile phones have become a hugely important tool for almost everyone, even in remote parts of the world such as rural Africa where banking over SMS is very popular. However in these places it can also be difficult and expensive to charge a phone.
DUALITY was born with a great ambition: Becoming the first car in the world that fully meets requirements of an off-road and race car.
But how to harmonize these extremes? The vehicle has four sets composed for: Two tires (one off road and the other for high speeds), two hexagonal polymers (for high impact absorption),
Internal combustion engine is the most efficient and economical on-road power machinery and maintains the dominant role on the market. Among them, SI engines occupied a much higher proportion on the light vehicle engine markets than diesel engine. However thermal efficiency of SI engine is not satisfying and ideal, especially at high speed and load operations.
Fish-like Propulsion and Control Articulated by Elastomeric Bearing-Seals
Elastomeric thrust bearings comprise stacks of alternate rubber and metal layers, all bonded together and under compression from a normal load. Illustrated layers are greatly exaggerated in thickness, but are actually so thin (tenths of 1 mm) that they can't squeeze out from between equally thin metal layers.
The working, full size prototype boat can be used to provide humanitarian relief in shallow waters and can be easily beached and left aground (sits level) as a generating station. The boat can be an operating room, clinic, blood transfusion lab, med school annex or placed on a trailer for over road transport.
We have seen many water bottles being used and dumped after emptied leading to piles of recyclable plastic clearly a hazard to human health. The recent stats show that 38 billion water bottles were thrown away and more than $1 billion of plastic was wasted in the US alone in the last year. Moreover,
