This project proposes the construction of a public leisure centre, which consists of a tropical garden and an indoor swimming pool, both within the same enclosure, so the installations can be enjoyed all through the year.

In order to define a unique and compact volume, an organic form with its own identity was chosen during the enclosure’s conceptual design phase. This volume needed to meet several requirements as the enclosure’s configuration should adequately integrate the different uses for which the enclosure is projected (garden – hall - swimming pool), It should be structurally and economically feasible, there should be enough light in the garden and it should be singular and efficient in its structure.

This idea make use of the wasted energy when any vehicle driver uses the brakes. It depends mainly on the potential energy of the passengers in the vehicle by transferring this energy to well distributed electrical generators along the the vehicle body. Carp have escaped from fish farms and threaten fresh water ecologies. The rapidly growing and reproducing fish are pushing out native species in the Mississippi and Missouri rivers and are threatening the Great Lakes. Traditional methods have failed to hold the expansion of carp populations.

Fish can be detected using sonar finders but are still harvesting using traditional nets and fishing lines. Carp can escape these snares and quickly repopulate an area.

Chemo-Electro-Deposition Mining is a collection of technologies that exploits the acidic properties of Acid Mine Drainage to get electrical energy by means of ionic exchange. In principle it uses zero valent iron that is dissolved in AMD and displaces toxic metals such as Cadmium or Copper in AMD solution.
