The objective will be the design and construction of an “Ambulatory Ice Cream Vending Machine, with integrated Refrigeration, moved by Human Power”. The project will be part of a student group of Mechanical Engineering, of the University UTESA, Dominican Republic. The team will be lead by Prof. Eduardo Sagredo. The principle of operation will be that at the two front wheels of the Ice Cream Cava; will have a DC Electric Generator that will move a refrigeration compressor that will maintain proper cooling of ice cream cava. The mechanical power will be obtained via normal bicycle transmission system of the back wheel. The transmission system will have 3 velocities. Also, the refrigerating machine can be used at night hours, ...

The current backpack frame used by the US military is called the MOLLE II system. It is a rigid piece of plastic that acts as an anchoring point for straps and packs, sometimes holding upwards of 120 pounds of gear. APEframe is an Articulated Pad, External Frame that furthers the MOLLE system of strap connections and modularity. It is flexible and has pads that keep the pack more stable while the soldier walks, allowing the pack to stay upright despite the natural sway of the torso while walking. The pads can be configured for comfort and will fit any size body. The idea of APEframe can be expanded beyond military into fire/rescue or even scuba ...

Decorative light fixtures are sent out automatically by way of a track & cable assembly. The track mounts on the face of a building or the backside of a house facia. The decorative light fixtures are installed by way of hooking or plugging them in to the cable that is automatically sent out and when it is retracted in.

The decorative light fixtures then can be removed and the cable can be spooled or the decorative light fixtures can be left connected to the cable and stored in an optional storage area.

A motor driven cable system with bearings and pulley wheels to guide the cable through the track or also can be manually operated with a ...

Many years ago, while trying to photograph my dog (who would not sit still), I envisioned a system that would keep me from missing another good shot because of the limitations of either my or the camera's reaction time, or the movements of the subject.

This system is designed to be an addition to an existing digital camera. In normal operation, when a digital camera is activated (shutter button is pressed), a single picture is taken. In this proposed invention, images are taken continuously at a particular (either set or variable) rate. A number of images are stored in a memory buffer, with the newest image over-writing the oldest image as the buffer becomes full.

With this invention, when ...

Soft sprays, massaging jets, and multiple showerheads can be combined with mood music and lighting to create a sensual shower experience like no other. Simple cold showers invigorate while hot showers relax. What more could possibly be done with shower designs?
Imagine taking both hot and cold showers at the same time; cold droplets hitting adjacent to hot, lighting up both muscles and nerves as they respond to the invigorating stimulation. In addition to providing a shower experience like no other, the high frequency thermal stimulation may enhance subcutaneous blood flow, improving peripheral blood flow for those whose limbs are affected by diabetes or a similar affliction. Further, this unique shower could be adapted for use in sports ...

For reduction of environmental pollution we have to look for solutions how to reduce the amount of parts concerning consumer products. Here, a plastic bottle is presented, that does not need a cap for closing it.
For closing the bottle neck is folded and the opening of the bottle is inserted in an adequate counterpart which is an integrated part of the bottle design. There the bottle opening is fixed by the elastic structure and it can be pulled out manually to open the bottle. However this structure protects the bottle opening from impurities.
But the real and important sealing of the bottle is at the point of folding at the bottle neck. By folding a tight sealing can ...

Problem: kids can be hurt when exiting an inflatable "bounce house". The most common injury occurs when the child exits the inflatable in an uncontrolled manner, falling to the ground, and often striking their head on the ground. Including a perimeter pad into the inflatable's design would provide a soft cushion for accidental falls and greatly reduce the chance of ...

BreezeRite is an indoor air, modular filtration system that uses new or existing ceiling fans and attaches by interference fit eliminating the need for any mounting hardware.
BreezeRite eliminates the dust build up on the top and forward edge of fan blades and allows the ease of cleaning by simply pulling out the filter housing and rinsing it off - or replacing it with new filters, instead of trying to vacuum, dust or wash down each fan blade.
BreezeRite will provide cleaner, fresher air in any room equipped with a ceiling fan.  In a computer simulated test of a room measuring 16' X 20' X 8' high, one set (5 filters, one for each fan blade) on a single ...
