We have designed an antenna-mounting platform capable of aiming four or more antennas of any type, effectively tracking an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or other moving object carrying multiple radios operating at different frequencies. Our unique design is portable and can accommodate nearly 60 pounds of antennas and radios, limited in number only by the size of the mounting bar installed on the platform.
Our design fulfills an unmet need in the UAV market, integrating multiple capabilities onto one low-cost portable platform. Most low-cost antenna tracking platforms support only one antenna per unit, have limited rotational ability, and are ...
NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) has developed a dramatically improved system for aircraft ground collision avoidance, which could prevent ~100 deaths each year in the U.S. alone. This advanced warning system offers critical features that have been packaged into an app for mobile devices to be used by pilots in any general aviation aircraft cockpit. This lifesaving safety tool also can be used in helicopters, fighter aircraft, and even unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
PROBLEM: Controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) occurs when distracted or incapacitated pilots fly a fully functioning aircraft into the ground. More than 5,600 CFIT-related deaths ...
This system is designed to solve the very problem of the still missing Malaysian Airline Flight MH-370, and few more recent incidents such as Air Asia lost its contacts a few days ago but fortunately its traces were found.
This system has a built-in satellite telephone system, from very reliable satellite system provider, Inmarsat, and this provider has global coverage. And their existing satellite phones are commercially available to the general public and these phones have SMS texting capabilities.
This system transmits aircraft flight data including aircraft GPS location as SMS text messages every ten seconds during ...
Usually aircraft are designed and undergo different levels of stress analysis starting from conceptual design review, preliminary deign review, detail design review, validation loads, Ground test, flight test and entering into service. All these stages required multiple analyses and reviews depending on the types of loads coming out in each phase.
This process we can make it to a single design level by designing the structure with maximum load and when a new set of loads are coming to do stress analysis again and again, the standard maximum load value decides the structure capability. This can be done by ...
This is a proven, flight tested aircraft design but it has not reached the production and manufacture phase yet. The Aerocat is a 4 person aircraft with turbine powerplant. It is all composite cabon-fiber construction. A unique pontoon design allows the Aerocat to be transformed from a high speed retractable-gear land plane into a full amphibious water plane in only a few minutes. The design is slick, fast and responsive yet maintains many safety features including a proprietary high lifting airfoil, and triple flap design for slow and safe ground handling. The Aerocat cockpit uses all glass panel interface ...
The concept of new aircraft carrier presented here is highly efficient and much reliable in comparison to currently used technology. It includes-
* NEW DECK LANDING SYSTEM
This system does not use any arrest cable mechanism, instead simple hydraulic cylinder piston arrangement is used which is highly reliable and chances of missed landing are almost negligible. Further aircraft can be landed from both sides on the deck runway, i.e, front and back..
* TWO VARIABLE SWEEP PROPELLERS FOR BETTER TURNING RADIUS
Unlike current technology for turning aircraft carrier, this concept provides much less radius of ...

The technology developed is a piezoelectric stimulus-response quantification based gravimeter (PEG). This innovation takes a completely novel approach towards utilization of the piezoelectric element by quantifying the gravitational effects on them--they can not only generate an electric charge in response to mechanical deformation, but can also be mechanically deformed by applying electric charges, known as the converse-piezoelectric effect. In this way, piezoelectric elements can be used to precisely inject energy for exciting vibratory frequencies within the element and housing allowing the element to be used for quantifying subsequently produced electrical output. Fundamental detection is achieved through utilizing shear mode ...

This project concerns spacehack. We plan to build a cubesat cluster.
Cubesats can successfully be used to generate information relevant to both science, and policy making, a prime example thereof is Quakesat : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QuakeSat (This is not to claim that these cubesate *solved* the questions around ELF signals, but to indicate that the generated *relevant data*)
Our satellites will do the following things :
1. Establish a swarm in orbit, and manifest swarm intelligence
2. Monitor Atmospheric Aerosols, in differnet bands (BAnd filter selected by swarm intelligence)
3. Orbit informations will provide geodetic information, e.g. ...

Application of the Biefeld Brown Effect
In 1923 Professor Paul Biefeld and his student Thomas Townsend Brown discovered this effect during the test of a new type of capacitor. Basically the Biefeld Brown effect is electro gravitation. If you have a flat disk capacitor with a good dielectric like Barium Strontium Titanate (BaSrTiO3) and apply high voltage to the plates a directional force normal to the plates will be generated according to the formula developed by Musha Takaaki from Japan.
Eg=-8.62 x10-11*Z*(er) ^0.5*E
Where Eg is the acceleration obtained, Z is the atomic number of the dielectric, ...
Across centuries dense forests acted as perfect camouflage for guerrilla militants and even today these forests provide a perfect hideout for these militants. Whether it was Vietnam war for USA or the extremist elements in north-east and other parts of INDIA all armed forces found it difficult to remove them and suffered major loss of lives.
The most common reason for this is the lack of a good espionage system for providing real time information about these dense forests. As, these forests are also the source of rich biodiversity, the threat of poaching is also very high. ...
