Air-stream

Air stream a wide, fast stream laminar flow turbulent-exit machine.

The air at the front of the device it ionized by electrodes that extend into the airflow area to begin the flow. Progressing rearward charged plates each progressively growing stronger at each step cause the air to accelerate towards the plates at 3 to 5 miles per hour.

Airbag for plane (prevent airplanes from crashing)

This project aims to reduce significantly the number of airplane crashes throughout the world. Considering the consequences after each crashing, we think it’s absolutely nonsense to let airplanes crash over a distance usually less than 2 kilometers when there is on board enough gas and electricity to permit the plane to travel over more than 10,000 km.

Aircraft Fuel Tank Modification

January 4, 2010

Proposed Airplane Fuel Tank Modification

The basic concept for the modification is a series of pressurized rectangular pouches of blastproof acrylic fabric, such as Kevlar, which are affixed (epoxied?) to the top and bottom outer surfaces of the plane’s wing fuel tanks, as well as on the central fuel tank in the bottom center of the fuselage.

Aircraft propeller speed reduction gearbox

This is a prop speed reduction gearbox I designed and built for an LS1 V8 engine. I needed to reduce the nose weight to move the aircraft's CG back. I was also motivated to reduce the overall powerplant weight, to get it under the existing certified 6 cylinder opposed engines.

AirWatt

This is a new concept in renewable energy production, called AirWatt. It can produce much more electrical power per unit area of land than solar, wind, or hydro power plants. Whereas solar works only during sunlight hours, the AirWatt power plant can usually run 24 hours per day in appropriate locations.

Alair aluminum-air battery

Alair aluminum-air battery for sustainable electricity production

This device is intended as a standalone electricity generator for off-grid living, in either developed or developing countries. It uses the chemical reaction:

4Al + 3O2 + 6H2O ? 4Al(OH)3

to produce 12 VDC electricity which is then inverted to produce either 120 VAC or 240 VAC output.

All-Terrain Passive Adaptive Rover

Manned space missions have a great risk because of the harsh environment and the unpredictable variables. For that reason, mobile robot exploration missions are preferred. Earth control of a Mars rover always introduces an almost forty-five-minute time delay because of a huge distance between two planets. For that reason, it is necessary to design an autonomous rover.
